I've always been a bit of a hopeless romantic.

Ever since I was just a kid I have been intrigued by love stories, romance movies, and more—funny I know! As I grew older and found my passion for photography, I am now passionate about telling love stories of all kinds with my camera. My brain is always on, dreaming up what it will look like through my camera lens. ‘This is how she would hug him, this is how he would kiss her, this is how they show love, this is how I want the session to FEEL’. My dreams are always going and I think thats why my job doesn’t feel like work. It feels more like a magical fairy tale I’m dreaming up in my head... and then I get to capture it, exactly how I planned it in my head.

Here’s a little bit about me, the lady behind the camera.

My name is Kristen. I grew up and am still located in beautiful Saskatoon, SK, paris of the prairies. I love Italian food. Really all food in general, but especially Italian. I could honestly eat pasta or pizza for every meal for the rest of my life and I think I’d be happy. I’m obsessed with my dog, editing assistant (Heidi), and plants (we currently have 13). I wear a lot of the colour blue and I have way too many different shades of pink lipstick. I love ice cream, tea, essential oils, and sunsets. I adore the mountains, and spend a lot of time there in the summer. I also really love creating art. All kinds of art. Not just photography, painting, interior design, graphic design, fashion, dancing, music. I love it all. I’m a right brainer (intuitive, thoughtful, imaginative, artsy) and I'm actually an extroverted introvert, which means I show my very outgoing, sociable side to you! but I am truly quite shy deep inside (Please be kind, this writeup was hard for me).

My favourite thing to photograph is LOVE. Weddings, romantic couples, and intimate families are my jam. I’m married to a wonderful man named Kurt who is my assistant for destination weddings. He is also an amazing carpenter, always continuing to make our home our own unique little character home.

I never thought I would make photography a career but one thing led to another, and soon I realized it was all I wanted to do. Now here I am, almost 10 years and 100000’s of pictures later, fortunate enough to do something I'm intensely passionate about every day.
