Im Kristen, owner/founder of Bella Vita Photo Co.
I am a Saskatchewan based wedding + lifestyle photographer, with over 100 beautiful weddings under my belt, and countless families preciously documented. But honestly, I still feel every wedding days’ genuinely beautifiul spirit like it’s my first wedding.
It has become my greatest joy to capture love. There is so much more to your photography experience than just shooting it… through my lense, I don’t just look at something, I choose to see ordinary, mundane things as beautiful, romanticized moments. I believe you deserve to have that beauty that resides in you captured in the best light, while doing what you were made to do - LOVE one another. Behind this business, there is honest love and human connection at the core of my inspiration. I believe that we are created for loving one another, and that I was made for documenting your precious moments.

I am the wife to a honey of a man who is my biggest fan, and a proud fur mom, always down to trade pup pics.

MEET VANESSA
Associate photographer, Vanessa, is a seasoned wedding and family photographer, who has been photographing for over 10 years.
She truly has the gift of an artistic eye, capturing beautiful moments of humans in the most documentary, inspirational, creative way.
Her calm, cool, and collected personality makes for the perfect wedding & family photographer. Photographing is her second nature, and we are so thankful she has joined the team!
Favorite thing about photography
My favorite thing about photography is the “feeling” you get when you look back on it. Perhaps its the persons laugh that can be heard again, or a sweet memory that takes you back. How amazing it is we get to capture that for you.

MEET SAMANTHA
Hi! I’m Sam, a wedding and lifestyle photographer from Saskatoon, Saskatchewan! For as long as I can remember, photography has been present in my life in so many different ways! Wedding photography came into my life back in 2014 when I got an opportunity to photograph a cousin's wedding! Since then, I have been so lucky to be able to educate myself through classes at U of R’s photo program, learn from other professionals in the business, as well as have photographed an immense amount of Saskatchewan weddings!
I very quickly found out that documenting love through photographs is by far my biggest passion and a part of me that I feel so authentically ME! I am constantly inspired by my surroundings, this beautiful province we live in and of course the people I get to photograph! Whether it is capturing a bride and groom's first kiss, a family playing at the beach, a newborn's first cuddle with their puppy.... I am giddy with joy and so thankful for it all!
More about me and the things I love:
- I am married to the man of my dreams and we have recently welcomed our sweet baby boy to the world.
- I also work at the local Children's Hospital as a recreation therapist, which very strongly competes with photography as the best job in the world!
- Any chance I get, I am at the lake, where I share a cabin with my four siblings and my eight nieces and nephews!
- I go to sleep every night excited to wake up to have a good cup of coffee
- some other things I love: Anything true crime, can I say coffee again?, spending time outside, mountains in the dead of winter, my cat Mello and sunrises!
How do we know which photographer we are going to get?
Kristen primarily books weddings & lifestyle sessions first. When we get an inquiry on a date she is already booked, Vanessa or Samantha will photograph your wedding day! As for lifestyle sessions, both Kristen, Vanessa & Sam each have schedules in which they are booking families, couples, maternity, and newborns on certain days!
Can we expect the same style & quality from your associate photographer?
YES, absolutely. Vanessa & Sam use the same gear, poses, editing style, & dreamy locations. Second to their own experience & schooling, they have undergone an intensive training program with Kristen to ensure their style is cohesive with Bella Vita. They each also bring their own creative talents to the table!
Who will we primarily be communicating with?
Kristen handles all of the communication from initial inquiry, bookings, email correspondence, wedding coordination, to location picking. If Kristen is not the one who photographs you, Vanessa or Sam will be the artist who captures & edits your session with care & love!
